This bar won bronze at the 2016 Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards, the judges having described this as “a good chocolate with good combination of flavours”. At the Americas and Asia Pacific International Chocolate Awards, this flavour has also won a bronze medal in 2016, putting it on the world map.
All of Jasper and Myrtle’s chocolates are handmade from cacao beans imported from Papua New Guinea in particular the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. The beans are ethically sourced - the sustainability and traceability of the cocoa beans and ingredients used in their chocolate are core values of their business. Li Peng and Peter, owners of Jasper and Myrtle take the time to know their suppliers, including the cocoa farmers, and pay fair prices for all their ingredients.
