The Bhils are one of the largest tribal communities of India and live in the central part of the country, in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Their art is colourful and whimsical, with a liberal use of dots and patterning to create interest.  Kamta Tahed is a young and upcoming Bhil artist.  Her works are very intense and are based on aspects of Bhil culture as well as keen observation of flora and fauna.
