Waterholes, Ngulburnan, Yuriyawi, Sterling Silver Earrings

By Sonia Pallett

Sterling Silver Waterholes - Ngulburnan, yuriyawi

Ngulburnan, yuriyawi means Waterhole in Wiradjuri.

These earrings are all handcrafted using 925 Sterling Silver and are light weight aprox 6.5cm long from ear loop. They look absolutely stunning and would make a great choice for an evening out.

They are made from recycled Sterling Silver and are handcrafted in Yuwaalaraay Country where my studio is currently.

Sonia Pallett

Sonia is the eldest of four Children, born in Wiradjuri Country, the land of the three rivers, Dubbo NSW. My Mob is from Kooma from South West Queensland near the Cunnamulla area.

Sonia has made jewellery since early childhood with a flair for the unusual, however life gets in the way of your passions. Over the years I have been working in construction, being fortunate enough to complete a Carpentry Apprenticeship.

Sonia loves to work in sterling silver and semi-precious stones which add colour and dimension to her pieces. I am proud to have created a collection of jewellery bringing my Ancestor's storytelling symbols into a modern light with non-traditional wearable art. Most of this collection is named in Wiradjuri Language, helping everyone understand and appreciate our Culture.
